Welcome to The Blog Report

I'm so glad you stopped by and hope you find this blog an interesting read. I've been blogging since April of 2006, currently the author of six public and two private blogs. In the beginning I knew absolutely nothing about blogging. Over the years through trial and error, frustration and elation, and a few tears I've learned a lot. However, the learning process when it comes to blogging continues to evolve. Here you will find a hodge podge of my blogging experiences, useful codes and how-tos, sprinkled liberally with my opinions. Enjoy!

Breaking Out of iFrames

Unless you are participating in a traffic exchange that uses a surf bar, chances are good you don't want your blog(s) in someone's iFrame. The reason for this is they are essentially making money off of your content.   You will usually notice iFrame users in your stats so unless it is one you have given permission to use your content then prevent them from using it.  There are a couple of ways to prevent your blog from being in an iFrame:

  • Blogger hosted blogs - Set your comments to in line which breaks frames.  This is the simplest and easiest solution.
  • iFrame breaker script -  Put the following script in your header.  Substitute the url javascript.about.com with your url.
